MEET THE CAST: Rebecca Jay @rebecca_jayy

We are so happy to welcome Rebecca back onstage and on tour with Enchantment, after her brilliant performance as Harold in Harold and the Purple Crayon, and the King in The Brave Little Tailor last year! Rebecca is so very skilled, and we can’t wait for you to see her on stage doing what she does best!

Rebecca Jay (she/they) is an Actor and Multidisciplinary Artist, specializing in movement. She is inspired by the intersection of athleticism and artistry and enjoys finding new and interesting ways to bridge them together.
Rebecca works as an actor, dancer, stunt performer, aerialist, acrobat, and puppeteer. She is thrilled to be on her Second National Tour with Enchantment Theater Company! Her recent work includes the role of Princess Surpanakha in the India Tour of Ramaavan the Musical and the role of Actor/ Puppeteer in Exagoge at La Mama.
Rebecca is a two time finalist for The Poetry Matters award and enjoys writing songs, poetry, children’s books, fiction, and musical theater. She is a huge advocate for coffee, dogs, and self reflection.

MEET THE CAST: Joyous Whitfield @jameshaddenwhitfield

This is Joyous’ second show with Enchantment, and we are thrilled to have them back on stage with us. They bring joy and love to the character of Little Brother, as well as a healthy dash of mischief. We can’t wait for audiences to see their performance in Mommy’s Khimar starting this December!

Joyous Whitfield is a non-binary actor/writer born and raised in Philadelphia. They received their BFA in theater from the University of the Arts with a concentration on Acting. Since then, Joyous has been acting in regional theaters across Philadelphia. They also co-own a film production company called LMNOP Productions in which they write and produce short films. Joyous recent credits are “ Suddenly Last Summer, “ Die-Cast,” Hatshepsut”, Beacon Theater “ Comedy of Errors” and Shakespeare in Clark Park .... Joyous wants to thank his family and friends for their support. Joyous would also like to send a BIG “I LOVE YOU” to their lovely fiance Kishia Nixon.
